Privacy by design is our duty under the Data Protection Act 1996 and the General Data Protection Regulations 2016 and we as a service provider comply with the principles of these regulations. The following policy applies to personal information and data provided to Harries Human Resources to enable the accurate provision of HR related advice and services provided to you and your Company.

Your consent
Your use of HR services through Harries HR signifies your consent to allow us to collect and use personal information about you and your employees and Company in accordance with this policy. Should we change our policy for any reason, you will be notified in writing, so that you are always kept informed of how we collect, store, use and disclose personal data.

Harries HR carries a firm commitment to the privacy of you and your employees personal data.

This privacy policy describes:

o    The information we collect as part of your retained agreement;
o    What we do with it;
o    Who we share parts of it with.

The information we collect and how we use it
We believe it is highly important to respect the privacy of all clients and their employees and to make only safe and ethical use of the information provided to us in the capacity of your HR service provider. We aim to give you as much control as possible over the information you do give, and in all cases the disclosure of your personal and that of your employee details are voluntary.

Where we ask for information we do so in order to offer you the best service possible.
If you believe that any information we hold about you, the Company or your employees are inaccurate, please notify us, and we will do our best to correct it as quickly as possible.

Some of the information you give will be held in databases. We ensure that these are secure, password protected, stored on our cloud based server (paid drop box facility) and can only be accessed by authorised people.

We may also ask you to complete surveys or questionnaires on our service provision from time to time. These will always be voluntary and we use this to improve our service and inform prices for the varying levels of retainers we offer.

We ask you for your e-mail address so that you may fully participate in all services offered.

Who will have access to the information?
Any information you give will be available to Ms E Harries and from time to time her casual part time worker Miss S Harries. Information you give is used solely for the purpose of providing HR related advice and support to you, your Company and your employees.

How long will personal information be stored for
We will retain personal information, on our systems, for the length of time your retained agreement is active. On closure or termination of your retained agreement with Harries HR your data, your Company’s data and the data of your employees will be retained for no longer than 1 year from the date of termination of the retained agreement. After 1 year, we will confidentially destroy all electronic and hard copy files pertaining to you, your Company and employees.
